The House of Sea is one of the five unique accommodations at The Tsitouras Collection. It has a characteristic atmosphere of romance, with hints of distant destinations and evidence of the lure of the sea.
Memories of the sea spring up directly and indirectly from among the furniture and objects. Each one of the hand-painted wooden chest covers that once belonged to Mytilenian seamen has a story to tell and a collection of Ancient amphoras found in the Aegean travel the visitor to a sea adventure.
A 19th-century gold platted Venetian mirror adorns the white marble bathroom and harmonically blends with a collection of 19th century charcoal sketches of male nudes by an anonymous Greek artist, depicted in the bedroom walls. One of the highlights of this House is a rare Picasso ceramic piece bearing the Three Sardines, which even the most demanding of visitors, would not expect to find in a hotel. Nearby, a large lithograph signed by his daughter Paloma Picasso can be found.
A collection of Greek plates from the island of Skyros depicting boats can be found in all rooms of the House.
